Brands Making Sustainable Chic.

There is a trend hitting many industries and I’m absolutely loving it. From the hospitality to the fashion industry, brands are coming up with innovative campaigns to donate to those in need and help the environment. It’s no wonder why Forbes has named social impact as 1 of 5 things we know millennial want from a job. As a millennial, I find myself respecting these brands and choosing to purchase their products and share their stories.

Everlane recently launched their ReNew campaign where they created a whole line made out of recycled plastic bottles. The collection of puffers and fleece equals 3 million plastic bottles. To kickoff the campaign they launched a ReNew experiential space in Soho where customers can learn about the process and how to make a difference themselves. On top of that, they are completely transparent with their prices, breaking down on their website exactly where their prices are coming from. They even drop prices of their cashmere pieces once the price of cashmere drops in the market. Girlfriend Collective and Reformation are among other sustainable clothing brands. & let’s not forget the social media favorite Glossier that has a ton of vegan-friendly products.

In the hospitality space, 1 Hotel Brooklyn was built with recycled materials. 11 Howard Hotel donates 10% to to charity when guests book directly with their website and has partnerships with brands like FEED, The Global Poverty Project and Conscious Commerce.

These brands make it easy to shop sustainable.
